David Cassidy---How about an interview in June?

I have been involved with David Cassidy --(did you notice I use his full name, never just David or Dave) since I woke up in love on January 9, 1971--I was 11 and in the sixth grade. I wrote about it in my diary then "today I realized I am in love with DC."  He had been a topic in my conversations growing up andI even wrote about him for my French class. 

When I was in the 8th grade, I brought home a report card that was not up to my parents liking: it had a D in Math. So, besides the punishment of NOT watching the PF that week (hamster episode) I had to take all my DC photos from my walls down. So, I moved them into my closet. (I was a very lucky kid--I had a walk in closet and used it as my reading room.) Photos of DC and PF were on the 4 walls of them never to be taken down---

But being an adult and moving on with your life meant moving on from DC until a few years ago when my mother died and I inherited my childhood home.  The pictures in the closet, although now yellowed with age, still showed a handsome DC.  This week I took them down.  My old bedroom is one of the last rooms in the house to be redone and ready to sell. 

As I took them down, I saved a few- but then asked myself-what am I going to do with old pictures of DC?  I cant justify keeping them and tossing blurry photos of my family.  I also have a scrapbook that I made of David with photos from my childhood room. I have photos which take up less space than the actual photo and in better condition. 

Now, I will start working on meeting and interviewing DC soon. 

David...I have a favor to ask you-

My friend Maureen last week “talked” to her favorite author via twitter.  I was so happy for her but very unhappy for me when I realized the same couldn’t happen.  Why? Because my childhood idol doesn’t twitter, FB or –email.  Since, I do not know him personally- this is what I have read.  His people put things on FB and his own website-but he personally doesn’t tweet like many of the stars today.

David Cassidy- Please change this. There are people around you who could help- Beau I’m sure knows how to get you on twitter.   So David—how about it? 

It’s not like the two of us or any of your millions of fans are getting any younger.  BTW, could we meet?  You will be at the Wolf Den and so will I. Maybe you could have an autograph session after the concert?

Or we could host a lunch or dinner for you and the proceeds could go to a charity you support?

The reason for the headline is to let the world know that I am available to be polite, honest and always colorful in my "Food Truths" posts.  There are something things in this world that I shouldn't eat and potato chips are one of the items-so I'm always on the look out for a snack that compares.  This is the closest I've come to having the crunch and satisfaction that I get from potato chips with these BEANITOS. Victory Energy Solutions stopped by my home

They were on time. As a professional organizer, that impressed me a lot.  Even though the confirmation email says to expect them between this time and that---they were ON TIME.  People are not one time anymore—except me and Victory Energy Solutions. Yeah!!!!

In CT there is a program to allow you to learn where your home is losing its heat and to stop it all for the sum of princely sum of 99 dollars. Its the best bargin of the year.  The energy workers weather proof all doors and windows and fireplaces.  They also change all the light bulbs in the home ( I will not have to buy any for 9years) box them up with the old light blubs and tell me where to donate them.  There is NO NEED TO KEEP them.  

Changing light bulbs was only the first way they saved energy for me.  They checked my appliances to see if they were bought in this century.  They were. But if they weren’t—they would have given me a program to apply to for a new fridge. Thank you Victory Energy Solutions.

They use a blower that locks up your home to outside air, but since I have asbestos in the basement—they couldn’t do that and had to rely on good old fashion caulking the fireplace (where a lot of the air goes) and the windows and doors.  They installed what is called a door sweep and it stops the cold air from entering.  

My home was built in 1929 and has NO insulation on the plaster walls. The home has been in my family since 1967, so it’s very normal to wear layers during the winter at night. I’ve been doing it since I was 7. Currently, I use a heating blanket while I watch TV in the living room. But thanks to Victory Energy Solutions I turned off the blanket for the first time this winter and was still warm because of them.

A time line for Bank of America

ON Feb 9 my mom falls on sidewalk and is rushed to the hospital. Feb 10 BOA fixed sidewalk where my mom fell. ( I have photos)!  Received letter from BOA which says all "out of pocket expenses paid" Oct 2011 Mom dies. BOA want to settle for 45, minimum expenses was $ 44,993 dollars. These are the big expenses my mother incurred and didn't include small expenses like food for the health care workers (13 weeks) or interest since the accident happened in 2010. And believed BOA wanted to settle the account of this Former Employer. 

Then BOA changed insurance companies and they didn't reach out. I called them every six months for the next two years and they didn't return my calls Until I yelled into the phone, I "was just diagnosed with Breast Cancer"  and then it still took them an hour to return my call. 

They offered 25,000 then told me a lawyer would write me. They said  "take the 10, and the statue of limitations was over in 2012. I said we were still negotiating."

BOA and their lawyers said because of the statue of limitations--I can't sue. 

I WASNT GOING TO SUE.

Now, BOA will pay Medicare what they are owed but not me. 

Oh, and they want me to be quiet about it. Yes. I'm not allowed to say anything to anyone about this---BUT why???????

I hope you will all will never bank in BOA and will sell all stock in that company.  I've written to the president of BOA--I heard Nothing. Nothing. Wrote to the board--heard NOTHING!!!!

The great loss of my mother was not enough- I should have received 90,000 and now because of BOA --I'm going to have to sell my beloved home so I will not be homeless.  My taxes of 5,000 a year have not been paid in one year--which means because of interest--it has ballooned to almost 8,000--those bastards. 

ALL BECAUSE OF BANK OF AMERICA--OR AS I LIKE TO CALL THEM ISIS AMERICA. 

Too much????

My friend Martha

In the early months of 1990 I was hired at the CT. Historical Society. This is everything CT you would want to know, see and hear.  I had no idea it existed until I was hired as a museum assistant. It is there I met Martha and the place where she met her husband. 

In my book, Survival in the Unemployment Line, I mention Martha as the woman who so wanted to help me she got married and had children just so I could babysit and she could pay me. BUT the woman is more than a friend.  She is a saint! She has put up with her husband Jay for over 20 something years...and I know what a handful he can be, as I am a handful too. Jay and I were born one year and one day apart.  Many times over the decades Martha has remarked to me, "Jay does that too." or "Jay thinks that too." So, I know. 

Also Jay and I stopped talking to each other after our first dinner together.  Because of the snide comment I made about his pricing.

Fast forward 20 something years and finally I said I'm sorry to him in person---after Martha told me what I had said--his prices were too high and I was shocked I said it to him. No wonder he didn't want to be my friend.  But, Martha has been all of these years.  I wasn't invited to her home, and I understood- but we managed to get together at least a few times a year and have a meal. 

Finally, after 20 something years I invited Jay, his daughter Alex and Martha to my home for dinner and I apologized to him again. He was amazed I did that.  (Yeah--people are amazed by me) LOL. We are a family again--since they have the coolest kids around--and their kids are Beautiful!  Model material--but they are too old to model--both children being in their mid 20s. LOL

Martha has been a true friend to me and I'm thrilled Jay and I are back on great terms.  He even liked my birthday present to his wife. But it has been Martha who has been like a sister to me and has helped me MORE than she knows.  Happy Birthday my dear friend,  Lets do coffee in London this year!

If you grew up in New Britain you knew the publisher of The New Britain Herald was Judith Brown.  Her family owned the paper for decades.  Then after she died the paper was sold. Now it is in the hands of Michael E. Schroeder. He published an article about a judge in Las Vegas who is ruling on a case that Billionaire Sheldon Adelson is connected with. 

Schroeder then had an article, (written by whom? We don't know for sure) published in the paper.  This article has nothing to do with anything in CT. only the courts in Las Vegas--and as a citizen of New Britain, CT.  I don't care about the courts in Vegas.  What I do care about is why a publisher of my hometown paper is doing this---and why he feels he can get away with it.

Yes, I know about freedom of speech, freedom of the press--but when the Publisher tells his editor of the paper to go pound sand---there is no journalist ethics with this publisher---

 According to the editor of the Bristol Press paper (the sister paper of New Britain Herald) who resigned this week because the publisher is "guilty of journalistic misconduct of epic proportions."

Yes, I could have told you that The New Britain Herald (sister paper to New Britain Herald) is a very Republican Paper.  In fact, I believe if it wasn't for the papers in New Britain (there is another Republican led paper) we would not have had the upset in the Republican Party this Democratic town did in 2013 and in 2015.  When you have a few local papers that only cover the GOOD side of the Republicans--its hard NOT to lose. Congrats New Britain Herald--you have made Mrs. Brown very upset.
