Its David Cassidys Birthday

by Leslie Jacobs

Three years ago the world turned darker for me as my first crush died at 67. He was 20 when I first started getting to know DC. I was 11. Although I never got to interview him-he touched my hands and pointed at me during his concert at Toads Place and sang”I think I love you.”
Our lives we’re intertwined in 1976, when both of our fathers died that year. I was 16, he was 25.
Rest In Peace David and Thank you for all of your gifts.

The Trial of Derek Chauvin

by Leslie Jacobs

Thank God there are tapes to show what happened to George Floyd. I pray that his daughter never sees the tape. It made me angry to see a police officer do this and I’m not a relative.

Bacon

Bacon! Bacon in an air fryer is the perfect food. If you still eat meat——try it! You will be very surprised at how great it tastes!

Kansas City, Kansas

by Leslie Jacobs

I was asked to move to this Red state, as my BFF from theater is moving with her family. It would be cheaper then living in CT. I just got a tax bill because I paid $100.00 and not the $500.00 a month I should be paying, but can’t at the moment. I’m selling my possessions including the David Cassidy and the Partridge Family items. Keeping just the important memories and my clothes. Selling everything to pay New Britain’s taxes. It’s horrible when you can’t work a regular job, so I create jobs for myself. Now, I’m creating storage and painting found furniture at the same time. Anyone need anything?

by Leslie Jacobs

I’m going to call this my lost year and forget the vitriol. Things I’ve learned in 2020- The internet is more important than heat, but only in the summer months.
Snickers barks because he wants something; and walking around the house and looking for it has been my job. Now, I know-he just wants to sit on my lap and sleep.
Three more weeks to be safe after the J&J vaccine-and then the shrieks of laughter will be heard. I’m with my family-who are my friends.

GRATEFULLY

by Leslie Jacobs

Two days ago I received my J&J shot. I had more of a reaction to my flu shot this year then I did to the vaccine for Covid. The lines at xfinity theater were organized and so professional. I was told I may have to get a booster shot-but I don’t care. In 4 weeks I can hug!

Its snowing Again

by Leslie Jacobs

I love living in Connecticut but the snow gets to be a little much. I’m so blessed my jobs are WFH so I get to stay inside. What a wonderful way to live. I’m so grateful to my neighbors for digging me out. This is a photo of them shot through my screen door of them. What a wonderful family they are!
