Today…45 years ago

I remember everything. Well, I remember with 45 years of tears and anger and love. I was 16, and my whole life crashed. My father died. He was 53.
In December of that year, I cried for a different reason. David Cassidy brother Shaun’s father died and I would survive because they would survive this loss. It’s sad and guilt filled and you remember only the good, well you try.
The hole in my heart has been patched over and over. It hardly hurts at all.

If a city Attorney Spits on the sidewalk

Should he be made to clean it up? About 30 minutes ago or less—I was leaving city hall after paying a few dollars on my taxes so I’m not homeless. When a car 71-NB dropped off a young man who spit on the sidewalk as he walked into City Hall. I caught up with the driver and he gave me his name. I can’t remember his last name-but his first is John and he wasn’t wearing a mask.

Is this a metaphor for our city? It’s obvious this city attorney lacks respect for public health.

So, spitting on a sidewalk is no longer a violation-good to know.

For a guilty, guilty, guilty verdict. I believed he would be found guilty, but holy cow all three. There is justice. Thank you to the 17year old who videotaped it for the world to see the truth.

Its David Cassidys Birthday

Three years ago the world turned darker for me as my first crush died at 67. He was 20 when I first started getting to know DC. I was 11. Although I never got to interview him-he touched my hands and pointed at me during his concert at Toads Place and sang”I think I love you.”
Our lives we’re intertwined in 1976, when both of our fathers died that year. I was 16, he was 25.
