Life is getting better

by Leslie Jacobs

I didn't get a lot of sleep last night because of some tension with my (NOW) ex- business partner Sarah. We started a company for  that I came up with the name, the product to sell and got our only sales to date.  And, to take pressure off her I had started painting mason jars. But that was not enough for her---

Yesterday, she called me to tell me I was lazy and that she was doing all the work on the products.  Yes, I said--YOU ARE THE ARTIST.  So, she wanted more than 50 percent, so yes I gave her more--I would take 40 percent.

We had decided to do our first craft fair this Sunday.  But after finding out she doesn't need a sales and use business account she (and her husband) decided that I was too lazy and I had to be cut out of the business. Thank Heavens she is a Christian, cause this could have gotten ugly.

But, I'm Grateful that I was cut out of the business.  I didn't like the way she was spending money and then would call up and say I owe half of this or that. Its a good thing that she decided to pull the plug.  I don't have to wake up at 5;30 am this Sunday, and I don't have to deal with Sarah as a "boss." anymore.

I am truly grateful for this moment of clarity.  I am also glad that one of my friends told me that I'm "not lazy, you just weren't into it."

I will miss painting the mason jars and lunches that Sarah made were terrific--but I'm glad that this part of my life is over.

I look forward to my new adventures in life with a different attitude.  Because during the texts, I realized how GRATEFUL I was. She is buying me out!!!
